Sustainable Climate Smart Agriculture – Gale David
Facilitator Friday - we are shining a spotlight our Community Processing Facilitators (CPFs). They run our agricultural and savings groups, supporting thousands of people as they change their lives. We hope you enjoy getting to know these key members of the CRESS team!
I am Ropani Joyce, a mother of three children living in Rhino Camp refugee settlement. I am deeply grateful to CRESS Africa Foundation and CRESS UK for giving me the opportunity to work with the organization and empowering me through a series of trainings. The knowledge and skills I gained in vegetable growing, business development, financial management, and discipleship have transformed my life.
This training has made me more confident, self-reliant, and able to provide for my family. Today, I no longer struggle to feed my children or meet our basic household needs. I have also been able to acquire valuable assets (goats and sheep), build a simple house with iron sheet roof, and an established backyard garden. I am also saving money for the future.
I sincerely thank CRESS Africa Foundation and CRESS UK for standing with refugees in Uganda and giving us the opportunity to build better and more sustainable livelihoods.
