Community Process Facilitators – Ropani Joyce

My name is Mary Doruka, a lead farmer from Wowojita ’Borik Community Savings and Credit Group (CSCG) in Rhino Camp. I’m so thankful to CRESS Africa Foundation for the training and mentorship programs.
I embarked on poultry keeping as a source of income to support my household food costs and my children at school. I saved some money and topped up the total amount with a loan of 300,000UGX (around £60), borrowed from the CSCG. Currently, I am raising 40 broilers purchased for 10,000UGX (around £2) each and costed me 400,000UGX (around £80) and I plan to sell each at 30,000 (around £6) to generate a total amount of 1,200,000UGX (around £240).
