Success Stories
Nancy Tiango has been part of the CRESS UK education sponsorship programme since she was 10 years old. She is currently in her 2nd year of a Midwifery Diploma. When she completes her course she plans to work anywhere opportunity calls, it could be in Kajokeji, Juba or other parts within South Sudan. She also wants to support her siblings with school fees and with food and medical supplies.
However, she has been struggling to complete her training due to a serious hearing issue which was preventing her from hearing her lecturer and engaging with her education.
Last week, Nancy and our Education Co-ordinator, Scopas travelled from Arua to Kampala to fit Nancy with specialised hearing aids. She was amazed by the immediate difference in hearing ability, and looks forward to getting back to her studies this week.

Nancy writes, "I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support... This has given me hope and confidence in managing my condition effectively. It will greatly improve my ability to hear and communicate and will improve my academic performance. I can now participate more fully in class discussions, engage with her peers, and pursue my education with renewed enthusiasm".
Nancy's mother told us, "The hearing aid you provided my daughter has been a life-changing gift. Your generosity has not only improved her quality of life but also opened up new opportunities for her future. For this, I will always be grateful."
