Graduation – Bachelor Degree in Business Administration
International Women’s Day
Today is the climax of the Education trip to Kampala with Godfrey Murye's Graduation - a 2.1 for his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Makerere University.
From Caroline
It is also a landmark for CRESS’s Education Sponsorship. Caroline has written to Godfrey, Bishop Joseph Aba’s son saying:
“The completion of your Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering is a historic moment for CRESS - the reason is you were the first student to be sponsored when I returned home after my first visit to South Sudan in September 2009 - I remember so well seeing you in the class in Ebenezer School in Kajo Keji - you were sitting on a small stool with no desk and I am not sure if there were any books.”
From Godfrey
It was also lovely to hear from Godfrey on completion of his degree
"It is with deep and great excitement that I inform you of my completion of Bachelors degree of Civil Engineering.
Four years ago, I joined Makerere University and today, I handed in my last exam, the research report and so I am done with campus.
I would like to sincerely thank you all for the continued prayers and support in my stay at the University. I am grateful and I pray God continues to bless us all as He always does.
My dear mother and father, you've been an inspiration to me from childhood and that has given me free motivation to keep working hard each and every day for a better future. Your unwavering love, care, dedication, advice and support gave me a firm foundation on some of the values I strongly hold to and all that is something I'll forever hold dear in my heart like forever. I immensely thank both of you for that and may God keep you alive to bless more people even outside our family.
My dear sponsors, thank you for taking the big task and mandate to sponsor me since 2010 if I can remember well. You've been so good, helpful and supportive and that's one reason I am at this level today. Thank you dearly and may God keep you alive to keep blessing others.
Dear Caroline, it has been about 14 years since I first met you, at first as stranger and now we're like a family. I thank God we met. I thank God for your good heart. I thank God for you. I pray He continues to sustain your life and your good works for His Glory.
With the greatest regards,
Murye Godfrey"
