Facilitator Friday - welcome to our Community Processing Facilitator (CPF) update. CPFs run our agricultural and savings groups, supporting thousands of people as they change their lives. We hope you enjoy getting to know these key members of the CRESS team!
I’m Achile Moses, Lead CPF in Mijale. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to work with CRESS UK & CRESS Africa Foundation from 2017 to 2026. Over these ten years, my life has changed significantly. Coming from a very poor family, I have gained valuable knowledge, skills, and experience that have transformed both my personal life and my family.
Through my work, I have learned the importance of prayer, good moral values, financial literacy, and mindset change. These lessons have helped me improve my livelihood and become a better role model in my community. Today, my family's living conditions have greatly improved. We have moved from living in grass-thatched houses to permanent brick houses, we are able to eat regular meals every day, and I can pay school fees for my children as well as support my brothers with their education.
Beyond my family, many people in my community have benefited from the knowledge and skills I have shared with them. The empowerment and opportunities provided by CRESS UK/CRESS Africa Foundation have not only transformed my life but have also enabled me to positively impact the lives of others.
My Family Business Journey
My family business focuses on goat rearing and tomato growing. I started this journey in 2017 by buying one goat every month using part of the income I earned while working with CRESS UK/CRESS Africa Foundation. Over the years, the goats have continued to multiply, and today my herd has grown to more than thirty goats.
In addition to goat rearing, I invested in tomato farming, which has become another reliable source of income for my family. The earnings from these enterprises have enabled me to meet many of my family's needs, improve our standard of living, and plan confidently for the future. My experience demonstrates how regular saving, wise investment, and the support and knowledge gained through CRESS UK & CRESS Africa Foundation can create lasting economic transformation for a household.
