A whirlwind of activity at CRESS
Over the past few weeks a number of things have happened, small things that make a big difference in South Sudan; often the very things that we might take granted. Such as lockable cupboards for the clinic which were purchased by Joseph in Kampala and now installed!! Don’t they look smart?
While it might seem strange to us the arrival of this rubbish container got the following note of thanks.
“I have so grateful to see all the effort you had been doing to the people of Liwolo, to made this place better, and look beautiful.
With that may God bless you abundantly.” Joel
Only 1.5% of home births in developing countries have safe water, hygiene and adequate sanitation (The Guardian 2014). It is so very easy for us to take for granted safe, clean water for drinking, cooking and the importance to our health. This is a simple water filter in use at the Liwolo Clinic and being used here by Emmanuel and Ropani. Clean water is never taken for granted n South Sudan.
