Nancy Tiyangu: studying with hearing loss

MBE for CRESS CEO

Our evangelism and discipleship projects aim to nurture the spiritual and moral well-being of both refugee and host communities through children’s groups and community discipleship. By integrating spiritual growth with practical support, such as education, vocational training, and community development initiatives, this approach fostered resilience and hope in displaced populations in Imvepi and Rhino Camp refugee settlements, while promoting peace and social cohesion between refugees and host communities. This work has built strong, sustainable faith communities that thrive independently, creating a positive, long-term impact on the well-being of all individuals involved.
In the last quarter, our projects:
- Reached 1,637 children through Good News Clubs, Sunday schools, and school ministries.
- 26 new lay readers, 46 Bible study group leaders, and 95 evangelists were trained to lead and disciple others.
- Established 3 fellowship groups for young Christian women, creating spaces for spiritual growth and mentorship.
- Formed 53 Bible study groups, enabling more individuals to engage with Scripture and grow in faith.
- Provided counselling and prayer for the sick, offering emotional and spiritual comfort to those in need.
