The team have arrived safely

A smooth MAF flight to Arua
Sunday has been a great day – a gentle start temperature-wise for us Brits with glorious early sunshine in the garden at the guest house.
A good night had by Joseph and the team, a great breakfast with others staying followed by a time of worship with three of CRESS’s wonderful university students: Anna Modong, Nelson Gwolo and Beatrice Kiden. With their wonderful expertise, they helped us set up our temporary CRESS Office, with printer online, Joseph’s What’sApp connected, and paperwork for the conference all sorted!
Anna shared about her current work with addicts in Butabika Hospital as she comes to the end of her five years training and looking forward to being able to use her nursing skills in Juba and rural communities where able. Nelson is in his second year of engineering hoping to work in South Sudan when he graduates. Beatrice graduates in IT next year and tells us she has done an internship with BOSCO (Battery Operated Systems Community Outreach) and hopes to return to Kajominyo Keji to set up BOSCO S uth Sudan. What a joy to see these young people developing amazing skills with such a heart for their homeland.
We spent the afternoon relaxing back at the Lake Victoria Hotel with swimming and spa -all quite rejuvenated! …whilst completing planning for the conference.
A very special time with Joseph in the garden for supper when he shared his vision for his people, working with CRESS to bear much fruit.
Then it was early to bed to pack and prepare for 5.45 start in the morning – with a long day ahead.
