We were delighted to hear from the agriculture department and see some photos from harvest as well as see how they are protecting the new trees in the clinic garden.

First a photo of the Ven. Jacob Karaba’s wife with her harvested vegetables for the second season. Jacob Karaba and his wife are part of the pastor’s agricultural group which was set up this year after their refugee food rations were so markedly reduced in 2020.

“We have procured tree cages for the clinic garden fruit trees, and have delivered them to their location. These cages are meant to protect the fruit trees from being destroyed by animals, such as goats and cattle, which roam around in the winter season finding what food they can.”
