Success Stories

Asaba has been working with a woman named Sunday Rose. In her life, Rose has experience child marriage and childbirth as a young teenager. She has survived displacement due to war and conflict, domestic violence, and poverty. She has been left with lifelong injuries, scarring and chronic pain. Asaba met Rose when she became pregnant with her seventh child. Asaba stopped, listened and acted. She gave Sunday a new mama kit and a mosquito net on the spot — a small, practical gift that gives her essential, hygienic supplies to prepare for childbirth and protect her newborn from infection. For Sunday the kit and net delivered immediate relief, a visible lift in spirit and a measure of dignity at a time of deep vulnerability. Rose will be invited to join one of our Community Savings and Credit Groups. CATT counsellors will also assess her and her children. This ensures she receives not only material support but also the psychological care her family urgently needs.
