Sunday Rose: A Kit, a Net, a New Hope
Reposted from CRESS AFRICA Foundation
36 Students. 20 Schools. 4 Districts. One Mission: Keeping Every Child Learning.
From 12th to 19th June 2026, our Education Officer had the privilege of conducting school monitoring visits across Arua, Koboko, Yumbe, and Moyo Districts under the CRESS Africa Foundation Education Sponsorship Program.
What we found was both inspiring and challenging:
- 8 students are performing exceptionally well.
- 19 students are steadily progressing academically.
- 9 students need additional academic support.
- 5 students faced health challenges, including one hospitalization.
Beyond grades, these visits revealed something deeper: A child cannot succeed through school fees alone.
Students need mentorship. They need emotional support. They need healthcare. They need parents, teachers, sponsors, and communities working together to keep their dreams alive.
One student shared a dream of becoming a nurse to transform patient care in her community. Another teacher emphasized that regular monitoring motivates learners and strengthens accountability. Parents expressed renewed confidence knowing their children are being followed up on and supported.
These stories remind us that education is not just about classrooms; it is about hope, opportunity, and transformation.
If every professional committed to supporting just one child, imagine how many futures we could change together.
Education remains the most powerful investment we can make in a displaced person's future.
