EVANGELISM & DISCIPLESHIP

Adult Trauma Report
Celebrating today with Caroline Lamb, CRESS founder and CEO, she has been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours 2025 in recognition of her charity work supporting South Sudanese refugees!
We were delighted to see Caroline Lamb recognised in the Kings Birthday Honours List by her appointment as a Member of the Most Honourable Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her indefatigable work as founder and Chief Executive of CRESS (Christian Relief, Education, Support and Sustainability) in support of South Sudanese refugees -and for her voluntary work with numerous local groups here in the Chalke Valley. The award recognises the invaluable role of the many volunteers up and down the Valley who have worked so willingly with Caroline, raising funds and providing expert support which has resulted in thousands of lives being saved and/or livelihoods improved among the refugee camps of South Sudan and Northern Uganda. A fantastic effort by one and all - and wonderful recognition of Caroline's amazing dedication and determination!
Isaac Soro heads up the indigenous NGO, CRESS Africa Foundation, who now deliver the projects in Uganda. On hearing the news of Caroline's award, he wrote:
"Since the birth of CRESS Africa Foundation, your unwavering vision, love, and sacrifice have continued to shape and inspire every step we take here in Uganda. You have not only founded a movement, but you have birthed hope where there was despair, cultivated dignity where there was dependency, and helped thousands of refugees believe again in a future of possibility.
Your MBE is a fitting tribute to the indefatigable work you have done in supporting South Sudanese refugees and local Ugandans—work I have had the distinct privilege of walking closely alongside you to deliver in Rhino Camp, Imvepi, Mijale, and beyond. But more than a recognition of service, this honour reflects the heart behind the mission—your deep compassion, resolute faith, and lifelong commitment to seeing lives transformed not only physically, but spiritually."

There could be no better way of congratulating her than by making a congratulatory contribution to her life's work - CRESS - which depends entirely on voluntary donations.
For the next week, we are raising funds for seeds and tools for the 35 Livelihood Groups which have not yet received agriculture training. If you can please donate here.
