Our work is not possible without you and we can’t thank you enough for your support and in 2016 CRESS benefitted from many amazing fundraising events.
The Charity Gala Evening held in September at the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral Refectory was a night of dining and chamber music organised by the CRESS Trustees which raised nearly £4,000. An evening of celebration and a chance to bring together friends and supporters.
In November Caroline’s son, Simon organised a Quiz Night at his uncle’s Dynamo restaurant in Putney where several teams of young people took part to raise funds. Ellen Burholt, daughter of Adrian Burholt who some of you may know, and who was a member of the team who visited South Sudan in the summer shared her experiences on the night. A very successful auction of sports memorabilia and silent auction helped achieve the wonderful total of £4,000!
There were many other events that took place in the year including the annual sale organised by Pauline Cullis. Pauline works extremely hard every year to raise much needed funds to buy drugs for the Liwolo Clinic. An event always well supported and enjoyed by all.
This year the charity has also been working closely with local schools who have provided educational books for learning and equipment for the schools of South Sudan – wonderful alliances we shall continue to develop.
Thank you to everyone who organises and supports our events – we couldn’t do it without you!
