RUMPs Training in Imvepi
The Knit and Natter group based in the Hub in Broadchalke have knitted over 70 jerseys for newborns. This week Caroline Lamb went to collect them and thank them all.
These brightly coloured jumpers are given to mothers in the CRESS clinic in Northern Uganda as the mothers have nothing to clothe their newborn infants in. They will keep the babies warm, particularly at night, especially important for the neonates. Receiving clothes also encourages the mothers to come to the clinic to give birth rather than in their tukals with an untrained woman in attendance - they are hugely popular.
THANK YOU KNIT AND NATTER GROUP
