COVID cases increase – lockdown extended

This is the 11th week since the first Coronavirus case was reported, the numbers are increasing.

The president gave his speech Monday the 1st of June, 2020. He has extended the lockdown for one more month with the same measures, especially for the bordering Districts. Cases are now coming up with positive results for Ugandan citizens, no longer just truck drivers from neighbouring countries.

This means that plans for students in exam years to return to school next week have been abandoned.

Currently, Uganda stands at 507 confirmed cases, 82 recoveries and 0 deaths.
