Reading Glasses and Bibles for Refugees
African Themed Fundraising Evening on 23 April
CRESS is delighted to be partnering with the Stonehenge Deanery. They held a successful Christmas dinner and funds were raised for lockers for the clinic and Mama Kits.
The lockers have recently been purchased and will help in-patients keep their belongings tidy and will make the ward easier to clean.
Mama Kits contain everything needed to help provide a clean and safe delivery. Each mama kit contains plastic sheeting, razor blades, cotton wool, gauze pad, soap, gloves, cord ties, and a child health card. The mama kits will be distributed to the pregnant women when they visit the clinic for maternity services.
An individual donor gave money for a much-needed fridge for maternal medicines as well as paying the salary of the scanner technician for six months of this year.
The clinic continues to be the best equipped primary healthcare facility in the rural Yumbe District which has an estimated population of 50,000.
