In this season of giving, let us reach beyond our borders and make a life-changing difference in a community that needs us. Through our Big Give Christmas Challenge, you can stand alongside displaced families in northern Uganda — helping to restore dignity and hope when it matters most.
In the remote refugee settlements of northern Uganda, hundreds of families walk two to three hours just to reach a clinic — only to find little medicine, insufficient diagnostics and no inpatient care. Most of those affected are women and children: nearly 80%! Maternal health services are sparse, family-planning advice is lacking and professional midwives are often absent. Meanwhile, children suffer both physical and emotional trauma, and very few receive the mental-health support they so desperately need.
Thanks to the experienced CRESS team on the ground, this campaign will deliver primary healthcare, maternity outreach and specialised trauma therapy for young survivors. By empowering local professionals and extending preventative programmes such as antenatal classes and children’s trauma therapy, we’re not only treating illness — we’re building resilience, restoring futures and giving real hope.
