The CATT (Children’s Accelerated Trauma Therapy) programme provides psychosocial support and trauma therapy to children affected by conflict and displacement in refugee settlements and host communities. Led by certified counsellors, the program delivers structured therapy, community education, and follow-up support to address the deep emotional wounds left by war, forced displacement, and other adverse childhood experiences.
Recently, our counsellors have conducted 8 PTSD Community Sensitisation Sessions to spread awareness of the symptoms and effects of PTSD and to reduce stigma related to trauma counselling; 126 people took part in these sessions.
They have screened 40 children, counselled 31, and successfully treated 19. Our sponsored students have also taken part in special counselling to support their development and studies.
Our counsellors have begun conducting home follow-ups and introduced community-based trauma awareness through local churches and schools.

This year, money raised during our Big Give Campaign is going towards our Children's Accelerated Trauma Therapy programme. We want to be able to offer counselling to children in need to enable them to live full lives free from trauma; to teach adults about trauma and how it affects their lives and those around them.
Donate between 2nd -9th of December to have your donation matched by our Big Give Champion. For more information follow this link.
