The clinic is pleased to welcome newly appointed lab technician, Mr. Apangu.
The clinic has a backlit microscope which qualifies the clinic to become a Level 2 Primary Health Clinic under Ugandan Regulations
The electronic microscope, with backlight, enables Mr. Apangu to accurately diagnose conditions, for example different types of malaria. This microscope is more advanced allowing diagnosis of new conditions including sickle cell disease, sleeping sickness, tuberculosis and guinea worm. This means effective treatment can be given in this rural location which is a great bonus for locals who mostly travel on foot.
