Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has announced that schools in Uganda will re-open in January 2022 after priority and vulnerable people are fully vaccinated. Institutions of higher learning can open 1st November, when vaccinations of the priority groups have been completed. CRESS has put in place another term of home learning for our sponsored students.

Places of worship can re-open with numbers limited to 200 and weddings and funerals will also be limited to 200 attendees.

Curfew remains in place from 7:00pm – 5:30am, the president said, “restriction of movement of persons at nighttime is key to the enforcement of other preventive health measures.”
