RUMPS training in bush settlement Gobor

Thanks to Womens’ World Day of Prayer generous grant CRESS team were able to do some RUMPS (Reusable Menstrual Pads) training in Gobor in rural Northern Uganda. The women attend a three day course which also teaches them about the menstrual cycle, family planning and hygiene.

This is the first such training for CRESS this year and defiantly a first for Gobor – the settlement is in the bush with no other NGO support.

The men have expressed interest in being involved in the family planning training in the future.

I am very thankful for the successful training done in Gobor. We met our target and are able to train 137 girls and women.

They were very happy and thanked you and wished you a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year.
