CRESS is delighted to be chosen by Reform Magazine as one of their Christmas Charities this year. We have promoted our RUMPS - Reusable Menstural Pad Training and hope to raise funds so that we can run more workshops in the schools in rural northern Uganda.
Period poverty, has become a campaign front all around the world. In rural northern Uganda period poverty makes life very difficult for girls and young women who want to attend school, but don't have the money for menstrual pads. If that means they can't attend school, they fall behind and end up dropping out as their grades fall.
With training we can help these students gain the knowledge and skills to create their own reusable pads so their schooling is not disrupted.
