CRESS African Themed Dinner
We are so pleased to be able to share this story with you of a child with severe pneumonia who was brought to the CRESS-funded clinic in Mijale. His mother said:
"I am very pleased for the restoration of the life of my son. I would have lost my son without Jehovah Rapha Clinic JRC.
My son became sick with serious difficulty in breathing, high fever and restlessness for 2 days.
I came far away, from Kupia village, bordering South Sudan, 7 Km away from JRC and walked for about 2 hours
I decided to take him and ran with tears in my eyes as the child was in a hopeless situation, carrying him to JRC, with no hope that my child would be alive when we got there. The doctors ran up and down to save the life of my son.
They put the child on the Oxygen Machine, I was much worried and crying thinking my child had died after seeing the child connected to a big machine.
Two hours later, the doctors told me the child is now OK, breathing is normal and temperature is also normal.
I could not believe it until the following morning when I saw my child was breastfeeding and even playing. Then I was excited and filled with joy and happiness again thanking God, saying if this Clinic was not to be here, what should I do to my beloved son.
The use of that Oxygen Machine and the treatment given to my child saved the life of my child. I love and appreciate the Doctors of JRC who saved the life of my child. I do not have many words but to say, let God continue to bless the Doctors of JRC, DOL and CRESS -UK for the tremendous work of these Doctors in this clinic for saving my child and the people of Mijale at large.
I suppose this Clinic is not here then I would have had to go up to Yumbe Hospital which is 45 Km away from Mijale, I do not know whether my beloved son would really be alive by now. I would have lost my Child !!!
