Livelihood News from CRESS Africa
Livelihood Project Training
The loud hailer project which began during the lockdown of 2020 has been running successfully bringing news, information, talk shows and church services to rural communities in the Imvepi and Mijale areas of northern Uganda. They call these loud hailers their radio stations, as they don't have access to any other news.
One of the Imvepi loud hailers was damaged in a recent storm, so CRESS sent funds to Pastor Jakob to make the repairs. He sent photos and this message back to Caroline in appreciation...
"Please my dear friend, allow me to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the great support you accorded to us and the entire community of Imvepi refugee settlement. Our Radio Faith, the voice of the Faithful is now on air today. The whole community was very happy and asked me to extend their thanks once again to you."
