Monday 26th January

Just met with Susan Thayer and she is keen to sponsor a child having heard about CRESS at Broadchalke School – she says that everytime she hears what life is like in South Sudan and how little money is needed to make a difference she has a tear in her eye.
She will be sponsoring Mercy Bahati who is 5 years old and the daughter of the newly appointed radio producer Victor – the radio is the only effective means of communication and education in a country where 80% of the adult population are illiterate.

Wednesday 28th January

Fred sent a text from All Nations college to say that his computer had crashed and all his work was on it – this was a second hand computer CRESS donated to him about 3 years ago so I fear a new one is needed ! Toby Mills located one from PC world that is an 11 inch laptop for just £200

Thursday 29th January

Today I get an email from a CRESS supporter who has sold some of her work and has £200 for CRESS – has God heard Fred’s prayer??
Tonight I went to meet Maggie and Jeremy Metcalfe and Rachel Gordon – they are coming as part of the September team – they were very excited about the trip and could I send details – I said could I just get back from my forthcoming trip next Wednesday 4th February ?!
This is to meet Joseph and Emmanuel and Golda in Kampala and to work with them – Adrian Burholt is also coming and we will be working on job descriptions and methods of reporting back. We will also look at how each child is performing and make any decisions needed
