Local schools doing their bit for Cress
A piggery project!
An email from Fred about more costs following his wife’s cataract operation. She cannot bend or lift this means she cannot – carry water on her head, cultivate her fields so therefore provide food for the children. She can’t cook because this is done by putting a saucepan over a wood fire on the ground and she cannot bend down. There are also follow up visits required and so Fred has come up with the following costs:
- Gas cooker £110.
- Gas cylinder/supply £180
- Push cart £120
- Hospital visits/drugs £120
- Items transportations £70
We will do our best to help here – knowing someone as well as Fred just illustrates the number of problems facing poor Africans when they have health issues.
Caroline has sent some money via Western Union for him to collect and we hope he will send some photographs of these items, although difficult to do this when the internet speed is so very slow.
