Appeal Update
COVID Update from Uganda
The week went on well with only 2 new cases of COVID-19 recorded, so the country currently stands at 55 confirmed cases. No deaths recorded. There are 12 cases discharged or recovered so far.
The president addressed the nation last Tuesday and has extended the Lockdown for another 3 weeks with the same measures announced previously.
Due to the COVID- 19’s impact to the community, some people go to stealing and some of them were shot dead in the process
The major threats are now the porous borders where people infiltrate to Uganda from Congo, Rwanda, Kenya and South Sudan which can bring in new cases.
Thank you for reading and we are really happy to report that our COVID-19 appeal has reached a total of just over £5,750 in two weeks. Thank you to all our supporters, we are helping keep the clinic ond DoL staff safe and will have another update from Uganda next week.
