CBFs in Mijale receive their field items

CBFs in Mijale receive their field items

CRESS has set up 41 Savings groups. Each group is supported by a local trained Community Business Facilitator (CBF) who visits to teach, encourage and advise the groups. Each facilitator looks after three groups and is unpaid. The difference these savings groups have made in their communities is huge.

The 41 groups have 1014 members, with 193 new businesses created and a further 461 established businesses being supported with loans and advice.

Blandford and Langton Long Churches donated to CRESS as a leaving present for Canon Jonathan Triffitt and we used that donation to provide raincoats, gumboots, backpacks and bicycle repairs for 16 Community Business Facilitators!

Thank you to all of you who donated!

Find out more about our savings projects here or you can also contribute to the project by completing our donation form. In 2021 we hope to start giving the CBFs a small salary to continue their important work with the refugees.
