AGM tomorrow
The team of 9 CATT (Children's Accelerated Trauma Therapy) counsellors treated a total of 113 children + young people using CATT and all have recovered successfully. The ost common nature of their trauma being child neglect, lack of basic needs, rape & defilement and suicidal attempts.
Counsellors from various locations carried out more community awareness on PTSD/CATT with very good attendance, most of the participants being children who are so much encouraged.
CATT Therapy
The most common nature of child trauma counsellors see are child neglect, lack of basic needs, rape & defilement and suicidal attempts.
CATT coordinator Scopas recently gave therapy to a boy of 11yrs who is now the family head after their mother left when her husband was shot in the front line battle that took place in Liwolo Payam.
Counsellor Murye Emmanuel of Goboro IDP camp has been counselling a traumatized girl whose mother was shot in front of her by unknown gunmen and a boy of 7 years whose father abandoned them after his cows were raided by gunmen.
Counsellor Beatrice of Belameling refugee camp helped a 15 years old girl who was ambushed by a gang of boys on her way back home after being sent to buy food items at the nearby market.
