Food consumption gaps widen in South Sudan
The Salisbury Cress team was in Broad Chalke last night where around 40 friends and supporters of CRESS gathered to meet Fred Taban from South Sudan. Fred spoke of how many years ago his potential was identified by a missionary from CMS, and he was educated and supported.
Fred tells us about the difference CRESS has made to his family
He also spoke about how CRESS has made such an impact on his life and the life of his family. He told us that the situation in South Sudan and in Uganda where his family currently live is serious as the rains have come a month later than usual, and this follows a drought last year. People do not know where their next meal is coming from he said. Fred is undertaking a BA at All Nations Christian College, and he will be returning there for the summer term on Saturday. There is one more opportunity to meet him this Saturday morning at Knighton manor from 10.30am.
